♥ Tea on Tuesday at Prim Rose Hill ♥

Tea on Tuesday is dedicated to all things tea-related!

Today I'd like to share a Christmas theme tea infuser from my Etsy Shop. It features a Christmas tree charm and is accented with a red glass pearl bead. Made with silver-plated materials. Tree is green and silver with hollow back. It measures 2" across the mesh infuser or about 6" when closed. I love making these with different themes!

Today I'd like to share a picture of one of my grandmother's tea cups. I have many tea sets but this one is probably my favorite because it belonged to her. I love the "foot" of the tea cup! It's so delicate and dainty.

Today I'd like to share one of my embroidered tea towels from my Etsy shop. "Tea and a friend make the perfect blend". This would make a wonderful gift for someone special who loves tea too!

♥ Tea on Tuesday at Prim Rose Hill ♥

Tea on Tuesday is dedicated to all things tea-related! Today I'd like to share a tea cozy in my shop on Etsy.

This tea cozy features a navy blue background with labels of various types of tea. The inside features a coordinating blue batik print. Batting between the fabrics is designed to keep your teapot warm and "cozy".

Size=large/standard. The approximate measurement of this tea cozy is 10x13. Large/Standard tea pots hold about 48 oz = 8 cups of tea.

I love making old-fashioned tea cozies and own several dozen myself! They're perfect to coordinate with your special theme tea parties.

♥ Back again! ♥

I really don't know where the time goes! All I know is that now it seems like all I get done is working. I enjoyed reading back over the last 10 years of my blog and realized so many things have changed since I last posted here. I once had a job that allowed me stay home safe when we had bad snow storms. That changed about 5 years ago when our department at the university "merged" with another and suddenly "emergency personnel" took on a new meaning--mainly they didn't care how bad a blizzard we were having, I was required to drive to work anyhow. They did not care that I was risking my life (literally!) driving over two mountain ranges because someone forgot their work email password and the university was closed due to inclement weather. It took a while, but about two years ago I changed departments and I am no longer required to come in during closings. NICE!

I still have my Etsy shop, but I'm getting ready to close it at the end of the year. I cannot compete with the mass -produced "crap" they now allow on Etsy. And don't get me started on all the fees! They now charge ME for another fee on the shipping fees, even though I don't make a dime off shipping. Ridiculous! I loved Etsy when it first started and it was all about handmade but it started going down hill a few years ago when I noticed people were selling mass-produced, not handmade (and they didn't even bother to change the photos--they used the stock photos they bought it from!) WOW. Nope, time to go.

I am still creating, but will be selling on my own website. Details coming soon! :)

So what new items have I been adding to my shop? Glad you asked....

tea cozies!

crochet-edge pillow cases!

key rings!

more diabetic medical alert bracelets!

bookmarks!

embroidered tea towels!

bangle charm bracelets!

more tea infusers!

letter openers!

Alright, let's see if I can keep up the blogging again!

Keep on crafting!

♥ Busy Bee ♥

I seem to always be running behind. I don't know what my problem is. I suppose I pile too much "stuff" to do on my calendar and can't get it done. I suppose I need some "time management" classes, but who has the time for that? LOL

I have been busy as a bee making tea balls! I shared a week ago about the wholesale order I had going to Canada and thought I would share those with you. :)

Quite a few, wouldn't you say? :) And of course I had tea-themed earrings to make too.

Needless to say, I have been running behind in my Etsy shop, so I've been busy the last week making teaballs and the medical alert bracelets too. Not enough hours in the day! ;) It's a good problem to have!

We'll be planting rose bushes this weekend so hopefully that will go well for us. ;)

Have a TEA-rrific weekend!

♥ Updating my Etsy Shoppe & Starting a New Line of Jewelry ♥

So what have I been up to lately? I gave up unpacking boxes for awhile and decided to work on my Etsy Shoppe. I have been so far behind in adding new items. I added about 40 new things to the shoppe this past week! Whew. I still have more to add. I'm wondering if I will ever finish. I have sworn to myself I will never get this far behind again and will start adding items as I make them. I think I was going through a bit of depression here lately and was barely keeping up on my blog, much less my shoppe. Thank goodness I think I'm coming through to the other side and I even feel inspired! I bought some new beads and so I will be "playing" this weekend for sure. ;) I hope I can wait that long!

More tea infusers in my shoppe! I LOVE this owl!

I started adding letter openers with beaded handle.

Of course, you know I had to make some teapot earrings! I have more of these to make so I hope to be adding them in the next week or so.

Added some beaded Wine or Bottle stoppers!

Tons of new earrings! All my earrings I have added are inexpensive, most of them under $10. I have people say, well they must not be quality if they are so cheap. Listen, I will let you in on a little secret....if you knew how inexpensive earrings are to make you would be appalled at the prices you are paying elsewhere! Unless they are made with 14K gold pieces or handmade lampwork or handblown glass pieces or the such, they are NOT expensive to make. I don't believe in over-charging or ripping people off. I want you to be happy with your item and come back and purchase more! :)

I have purchased some handmade lampwork beads that are just GORGEOUS and I cannot wait to get started making jewelry with them. It's a new line of jewelry I want to start making...designer pieces at affordable prices. They will be a bit more pricey than my usual earrings because these lampwork beads are handmade by a skilled artisan so they cost quite a bit more for me to purchase, BUT they will be 1/2 to 1/3 of the price of what I have seen listed on Etsy and Artfire so far!! Really, why rip people off? I mean I just don't see it. Personally I don't have $60-$90 to drop on a pair of earrings & I doubt you do too. (That's why they keep sitting in these sellers stores!! You'd think they'd figure that out.) Well, that's just how I feel about it. :)

I hope your week has gone well and you're looking forward to the weekend. I know I am! ;)
