Seashells by the Seashore

Another charm bracelet to add to my Etsy store! I do love these so much! This one has silver charms of a fish, a seahorse, and a starfish, all intermixed with real seashells and bits of colored shells. Also a few freshwater pearls and wooden beads.
We just returned from Va Beach and the Outerbanks area of NC & so I felt inspired to do something with a beach-theme. :) I LOVE the beach since that's where I grew up and it's always feels like going home. It was hot, hot, hot! and I will have to share some of the pictures from the Art Show on the boardwalk. Hopefully this week, I will get to that! So much to do & oh so little time! Hope you're having a wonderful Monday!

Hugs & best wishes,
Sheri ;)

A Charmed Life

I had a Friday Flickr Inspiration last week showing charm bracelets. I have always loved charm bracelets! Since I've been bitten by the "jewelry-making bug" I find myself more intrigued with making them. I have more earrings I have to post up...hopefully this weekend I will get that finished! But I had to make my first charm bracelet. It has silver hearts, crackle glass beads, and pearls. Oh my, it really hurt to part with this one! I hope to expand these into my etsy shop since I enjoy them so much.

I had a charm bracelet growing up and I still have it. It had little charms that marked important things in my life. I want to make some tea-themed charm bracelets also. I will have to keep one of those for sure!! :) Did you have one or do you have one now? What's on your charm bracelet?

Hello Pink Saturday!

I am happy to be part of this week's Pink Saturday, hosted by the wonderful Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. :)

I am actually preparing this one early to post on Saturday because we will be out of town. Hello Virginia Beach! I'm hoping this year not to get crispy-fried. I will find that sunscreen!

So in thinking about this week's post, I thought I'd post some pictures of pink sea shells! This should make me smile all week and hopefully it will go by quicker. :)

Happy Pink Saturday!!

Hugs,
Sheri

Friday Flickr Inspirations: Making Charm bracelets!

As you know I recently was bit by the jewelry-making bug & have been making tons of earrings that I still need to post up on Etsy. *Sigh* not enough hours in the day, that's for sure. But I find myself leaning towards charm bracelets. I had one growing up that my mom would buy different charms for different occasions to add to it and I loved it dearly. I still have it and I even have my mom's now that she is gone. She had alot of Christmas charms on hers. So I thought I'd see what Flickr inspirations I could find...and boy, did I ever!! Hope you're having a wonderful Friday!

This painting is wonderfully uncomplicated and pretty much straightforward. All of us should rest in the Masters hands as these birds do. Did you notice there are seven?

Tea on Tuesday: Chocolate Macadamia Meltaways

Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup butter, softened
* 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 jar (3-1/2 ounces) macadamia nuts, finely chopped
*

FILLING:
* 1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
* In a small bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Gradually add flour and mix well. Stir in nuts (dough will be stiff); set aside.

* Shape teaspoonfuls of dough around each piece of chocolate-nut mixture so it is completely covered. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets.
